Brigadier Leena Kumari PR is a highly accomplished Indian Army veteran with over 42 years of distinguished service across clinical care, academics, and administration, including 36 years in the Military Nursing Service. She holds a BSc in Nursing, an MBA in Hospital Administration, and is Six Sigma certified, reflecting her commitment to excellence, quality improvement, and professional advancement within the healthcare sector.
Throughout her career, Brig. Leena has held several prestigious leadership positions, including Principal of the College of Nursing, AFMC Pune, and Founder Principal of the College of Nursing at Command Hospital (Central Command), Lucknow. Her contributions span institutional development, faculty capacity-building, and academic leadership.
Currently, she serves as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and Adjunct Faculty at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and is the Course Coordinator for the Digital Health Foundation Course for Nursing (DHFC-N). Brigadier Mala Singh is a distinguished Indian Army veteran with over four decades of extensive experience in clinical nursing, military leadership, academics, and administration. With more than 36 years of service in the Military Nursing Service, in addition to her four years of training, she has contributed significantly to the growth and professionalization of nursing within the armed forces.
During her tenure as Principal and Professor at the College of Nursing, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, Brig Singh played a pivotal role in elevating academic standards, strengthening institutional governance, and fostering a culture of research and innovation. She has mentored numerous postgraduate and doctoral scholars, led multiple research initiatives, and contributed extensively to quality assurance, accreditation processes, and faculty development.
Across her career, Brig Singh has held key positions in leading military hospitals and premier training institutions, contributing to curriculum development, policy formulation, and national-level inspection and evaluation committees.
