The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is the leading accreditation and certification body in India serving over 13,000 hospitals. NABH has embarked on a mission to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in healthcare and building a robust framework and accreditation support for healthcare providers in India.

NABH Hospital Digital Health Standards – Key Objectives

  • Support hospitals in India to adopt Digital Health tools to enhance patient care, improve access & make healthcare more affordable
  • Provide a structured roadmap to hospitals in India in adopting ABDM platform and other digital health tools
  • Align the digital standards with the existing NABH standards ensuring better quality of care and patient safety
  • Create opportunity for NABH to get access to structured data for benchmarking and reporting on key performance indicators

Koita Foundation is supporting NABH in multiple digital health initiatives

  • Develop NABH Digital Health Standards – which will provide a structured roadmap to hospitals in adopting digital health tools and technologies by hospitals and healthcare providers
  • Create programs and capacity building tools for hospitals to comply with government of India’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) initiative
  • Support joint programs between QCI/NABH & NHA for ABDM roll-out e.g., HMIS Software validation
  • Create technology roadmap to enhance NABH core operations and end-user experience
