We were proud to support the development of the Strategy for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare for India (SAHI) - a comprehensive national guidance framework to enable the safe, ethical, evidence-based, and inclusive adoption of AI across India’s healthcare ecosystem.
Developed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research, WHO South-East Asia Regional Office, and the National Health Authority, SAHI provides a structured roadmap to strengthen clinical decision-making, public health intelligence, digital health infrastructure, and patient outcomes nationwide. National Cancer Grid India, in collaboration with the NCG-Koita Centre for Digital Oncology (KCDO) announced the launch of the Cancer AI & Technology Challenge (CATCH) Grant at the India AI Summit. This is the first-of-a-kind initiative focused on promoting healthcare specific AI solutions for India.
The CATCH Grant received an overwhelming response of over 290 applications across India! We extend our appreciation to the Top 10 winners and the 18 finalists whose work continues to strengthen this growing ecosystem.
As part of the initiative, the CATCH Grant Compendium was released, spotlighting these innovative AI-led cancer care solutions from across the country and showcasing the depth of talent and innovation driving this transformative movement. The compendium also outlines the overall approach taken by IndiaAI and NCG team in shortlisting and evaluating the companies - which can become a model for other such initiatives.
The Capacity Building Commission (iGOT Karmayogi Platform) launched the Digital Health Foundation Course for Nurses (DHFC-N) to support over 3+ lakh nurses across India in building Digital Health & AI skills.
Developed by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, and Trained Nurses' Association of India (TNAI), and supported by national-level experts, the course is also live on the MUHS LMS (ePrabodhini) and the TNAI e-learning portal. It is open to nursing students, faculty, CHOs, GNM, ANM, and in-service nurses.
Koita Foundation, in partnership with India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS), announced the KF Tech Awards 2025 at ILSS India Fundraising Conference (IFRC) 2026. The awards recognise the Top AI solutions in the social sector across health, education, climate resilience, citizen engagement, and public systems, celebrating scalable innovations and patient capital partnerships driving sustainable change.
The first batch of the Certificate Course in Digital Health (CCDH) concluded on 31st Jan 2026. The first batch of 37 doctors and medical professionals completed the course, supported by 30+ faculty and mentors from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and IIT Bombay. The RSSDI–Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology office was inaugurated on 31st Jan 2026 at the IIT Bombay Research Park, Mumbai. The RSSDI-KCDD office will advance clinician-led digital and AI innovation to enhance diabetes care quality and outcomes across India, and drive active collaboration between RSSDI doctors and IIT Bombay faculty and students.
At AICOG 2026, Koita Foundation supported a dedicated Digital Health Session hosted by FOGSI through the FOGSI-Koita Centre for Digital Maternal and Child Health (KCDM).
A key highlight was the launch of the Blueprint for Digital Transformation in Maternal Health by Dr Mona Duggal. The Blueprint presents a practical, clinician-focused approach to adopting digital health in maternal care, drawing from global best practices and insights from India’s private care ecosystem.
The expert panel included Dr Amit Arun Shah, Dr Mona Duggal, and Mr Riwan Koita, and was moderated by Dr Bhaskar Pal, President FOGSI. The discussion focused on translating standards into practice, setting priorities for digital maternal care, and supporting clinicians through responsible adoption.

Koita Foundation signed an MoU with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to support the wider adoption of Digital Health in India. IMA represents over 3,67,000 doctors nationwide, and this partnership marks an important step towards strengthening digital literacy among medical professionals through DHFC.
The MOU was signed in the presence of Koita Foundation's COO, Ms. Goel and the IMA leadership, lead by Dr. Dilip Bhanushali.

2025 has been a strong year for Koita Foundation marked by our work in leveraging AI & digital technologies for social good.
Or work with the NABH contributed with the launch of Digital Health Standards for clinics and hospitals. Partnerships with RSSDI and the National Cancer Grid advanced disease-specific digital frameworks, EMR adoption, and AI-enabled innovation through targeted grants and capacity building programs. We signed an MOU with FOGSI to set up the Koita Centre for Digital Maternal and Child Care which will be a key focus in 2026.
Koita Foundation participated in the 31st Biennial SNAI National Conference, engaging over 3,000 nursing students and faculty on DHFC-N through booth interactions, conference kits, and video screenings. The team registered 508 TNAI & SNAI members for the DHFC-N course, strengthening nationwide adoption of digital health skills among nurses. Discussions with SNAI state leaders highlighted strong interest in digital capacity-building, guiding more structured outreach in the coming months.
