Quest Alliance

Koita Foundation is supporting Quest Alliance in extending its existing digital learning platform beyond youth learners to the educators who deliver employability-skills training across Quest Alliance's network of 750+ ITIs and partner VTIs, through the "Educator Journey". The platform focuses on a personalised, continuous professional development journey for educators, starting with a pilot of 50 ITI trainers and with a longer-term ambition to reach ~3,000 trainers.

How the Educator Journey works

The experience is designed as a continuous cycle of professional growth rather than a one-time training programme. Educators move through six interconnected stages:

Know Yourself → Find Your Path → Learn → Apply → Reflect & Share → Grow & Be Recognised

In the first phase, the Educator Journey digital learning platform includes:

  • A preparedness survey mapped to the TPACK-XL framework;
  • Adaptive learning pathways based on educators’ strengths, aspirations and learning needs;
  • Bite-sized, multilingual and multi-format learning experiences;
  • Opportunities to experiment with learner-centred teaching practices;
  • Mechanisms to capture reflections and evidence of classroom practice; and
  • Dashboards that help educators and programme teams track progress over time.

Building for scale

Future phases are expected to introduce a recognition framework, external content integration, predictive adaptive pathway unlocking, and a behaviour-aware chatbot.

The Educator Journey is being built within Quest Alliance’s existing digital learning ecosystem rather than as a standalone platform. This creates a shared foundation where educator and learner journeys, learning data, and reporting can come together within a common system.

Over time, this will enable Quest Alliance to move from one-time annual training towards a continuous cycle of educator learning, classroom application, reflection, and growth at scale. It will also give programme teams stronger visibility into educator engagement, competency growth, and how learning is being applied in the classroom.

The platform is designed to bridge the gap between professional learning and classroom practice. It responds to key limitations in existing educator development, which can often be generic, lengthy, and disconnected from educators’ individual needs, lived experience, and classroom realities. By creating a more personalised and continuous journey, the platform aims to support stronger educator practice while also helping programme teams better understand the relationship between educator engagement and learner outcomes.
