Founded in 2001, Ummeed Child Development Center is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping children with developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential and be included in society. Through integrated clinical services, professional training, research, and advocacy, Ummeed strengthens the capacity of families, professionals, and systems to support children with developmental disabilities.
Ummeed has pioneered a multidisciplinary, family-centred model of care that brings together developmental paediatricians, psychologists, therapists, special educators, physiotherapists, and social workers to deliver coordinated interventions tailored to each child's needs. Alongside direct clinical services, the organisation builds the capacity of healthcare, education, and community professionals while advancing inclusive practices for children with developmental disabilities

Koita Foundation Partnership
Koita Foundation is partnering with Ummeed to strengthen its multidisciplinary model of developmental care through the design and implementation of an integrated digital Therapy Goals Platform. The platform will enable multidisciplinary teams to collaboratively set, track, and monitor therapy goals while improving care coordination, outcome measurement, and family engagement.
The solution translates Ummeed's evidence-based, family-centred model of care into a scalable digital platform that strengthens collaboration among clinicians and provides a more holistic view of each child's developmental journey. The approach facilitates a strengths-based approach to setting goals that take into account the child’s interests and strengths, as well as the family’s context and caregiver’s needs. The platform seeks to incorporate the “F-words of Childhood Disability” framework developed by CanChild Centre for Childhood-Onset Disability Research, McMaster University, Canada which is based on the World Health Organization's International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (WHO-ICF).
